Denime is an iconic Japanese brand founded in 1988 by Yoshiyuki Hayashi. It is known for its faithful reproduction of vintage American jeans, especially from the 1960s. By collaborating with Kurabo Industries, a pioneer in Japanese denim, Denime has developed authentic selvedge fabrics woven on traditional shuttle looms. This meticulous approach has helped establish Denime's reputation in the world of premium denim.
Denime is part of the renowned "Osaka Five" group, alongside Studio D'Artisan, Evisu, Fullcount, and Warehouse & Co.. Now under the supervision of Warehouse & Co., the brand has undergone several changes in leadership, but it continues to produce high-quality jeans appreciated by denim enthusiasts for their authenticity and durability.
The Lot. 224-66B is a faithful reproduction of the Levi’s 501 model 1966. This jean embodies traditional Japanese craftsmanship applied to an iconic American design. It is made from Japanese selvedge denim weighing 14.5oz, woven on GL3 shuttle looms. The cotton is 100% natural and unsanforized to preserve its structure and authentic appearance. To prevent shrinkage, we have pre-washed it using Warehouse & Co. detergent.
