ROTOTO socks are manufactured in the largest sock-producing region of Japan, Nara Prefecture. The region has been known for its quality textiles since the 17th century. Industrial production of socks was first introduced in 1910, when a man from the former village of Umami (now Koryocho) imported a weaving machine from the United States to his hometown after his study trip to the country.

After that, we choose the knitting machines based on the type of material and the product's use. This can be rare machines that have a specific use, old non-computerized knitting machines, or, on the contrary, modern high-tech tools.
