Portuguese Flannel
Portuguese Flannel is a Portuguese brand created by brothers António and Manuel Magalhães, who come from a family with four generations of experience in the textile industry. Through their collections, they seek to showcase the expertise of their country and, more particularly, northern Portugal, a region with a long history of textile manufacturing.
The fabrics are developed and produced around Guimarães, a region renowned for its textile mills, before the shirts are made in northern Portugal by skilled craftspeople. Portuguese Flannel favours natural materials such as cotton, linen and wool, alongside exclusive fabrics produced using traditional methods.
While flannel naturally remains part of the brand’s identity, Portuguese Flannel explores a much broader range of shirting: brushed Oxford cloth, corduroy, textured cotton, linen, checks, stripes and more seasonal patterns. Styles such as the Teca Shirt perfectly illustrate this approach: simple and versatile shirts whose appeal lies above all in their fabric, comfort and quality of construction.
Portuguese Flannel has become one of the pillars of our selection. We have worked with António and Manuel for more than ten years and have seen their shirts gradually become genuine staples at Flâneurs. Season after season, we build an extensive selection around their signature styles, new fabrics and colours, always looking for shirts that are easy to wear and made to last.
