Goémon

A long-standing informal project that has existed for more than 10 years, Goémon is a one-off textile manufacturing and design venture created by Pierre, a passionate native of Rennes, a long-time friend and occasional partner of Flâneurs.

The name Goémon deliberately evokes the coastlines of Brittany, near which the pieces are designed and made. It also references Japanese folklore and its popular hero, Goemon Ishikawa. This is a nod to Japan's relationship with objects, as well as to Pierre's own personal journey, both of which significantly influence his work for Goémon.

Accustomed to custom creations and personal research projects, Pierre wanted to embark on creating a first collection with the ambition of designing a coherent set where each piece retains its singularity and unique character, staying true to the very essence of Goémon.

This first collection is the result of several initiatives undertaken in recent years, such as the creation of a light, water-resistant bag with good capacity, ideal for weekends, the beach, or as an extra bag. It also includes the dyeing and washing work on technical fabrics, aimed at giving an organic look back to petrochemical-based canvases.

Hoka

Hoka (formerly "Hoka One One") is a brand created in 2009 in France, near Annecy, by two mountain running enthusiasts, Jean-Luc Diard and Nicolas Mermoud. "Hoka One One" literally means "to fly over the earth" in Maori, which corresponds to the distinctive feature of the brand's shoes: their bulky soles are designed to provide significant cushioning while remaining lightweight. This sole remains the main stylistic differentiation point from Hoka's immediate competitors in the running field, with the curved shape of its shoes and the use of bright colors. At its launch, these key points went against the more minimalist designs of the time, allowing Hoka to establish a strong brand identity, recognizable at first glance.

Sugar&Co.

Sugar&Co. is a Japanese label created by Shinya Takahashi, a designer whose experience includes time at FULLCOUNT. Drawing on his knowledge of denim and vintage clothing, the brand offers a freer, more contemporary interpretation, combining Japanese textile expertise with comfortable proportions and a relaxed approach to everyday clothing.

Its “BECOME MORE DELICIOUS” philosophy expresses the idea of garments gaining character over time as fabrics soften and develop a patina. Denim, jackets, shirts and trousers are designed to evolve with their wearer. The signature Daddy’s Pants, instantly recognisable by their generous proportions, perfectly capture this modern and personal approach to Japanese workwear.

TCB Jeans

TCB Jeans is a Japanese brand born in Kojima in 2007, when Hajime Inoue established his own sewing factory. A true factory brand, TCB studies vintage American jeans and workwear to recreate their cuts, fabrics, construction details and, above all, the way these garments age and develop character over time.

Selvedge fabrics are developed in Japan, while cutting and sewing take place in TCB’s own Kojima factory using an extensive range of vintage machines. Models such as the 50’s Jeans embody this meticulous approach to historic denim. Behind this dedication is also a touch of humour: TCB stands for “Taking Care of Business”, but also “Two Cats Brand”, a reference to Hajime Inoue’s cats.

Ten C

Ten C is the acronym for The Emperor's New Clothes, a Danish folk tale that teaches the moral importance of looking beyond what we are told to see and appreciating what is truly there. In this spirit, Ten C advocates for boycotting trends in favor of sustainable clothing.

To achieve this, designers Alessandro Pungetti and Paul Harvey make it a point of honor to offer a meticulously selected range, designed to withstand the test of time, in styles that will never go out of fashion. The combination of Japanese material technology and Italian craftsmanship makes Ten C a distinctive brand, recognizable at first glance.

Vetra

The History of Vetra

The Beerens family settled in Paris in the 1920s. The son, Edouard, received his mother’s apron and blouse factory as a wedding gift. The workshop was located at 3 rue de Bretonvilliers on the Île Saint Louis, in the 4th arrondissement of Paris, where the brand Vetra (a contraction of VÊtements de TRAvail, meaning work clothes) was created in 1927. With a commitment to defending French textile expertise by manufacturing 100% of its garments in France, within its own workshop, Vetra now boasts over nine decades of expertise in the production of workwear. Only a high standard of quality, made possible by complete control over production, has enabled it to endure and remain independent in its strategic choices.

Warehouse & Co.

Warehouse & Co. is a Japanese brand founded in Osaka in 1995 by brothers Kenichi and Koji Shiotani. A member of the famous Osaka Five, it has followed one demanding principle since its beginnings: “the faithful reproduction of authentic vintage clothing”, studying original garments down to their yarns, weaving, stitching, machinery and manufacturing techniques.

Selvedge denim, sweatshirts, T-shirts, chinos and military clothing are developed to recreate not only the appearance of 20th-century American garments, but also their texture and the way they age. This almost archaeological approach to reproduction extends to even the least visible details, making Warehouse a reference for vintage-inspired clothing Made in Japan.
