Founded in 1998 by Stay Gold Company, A Hope Hemp is a Japanese brand that creates premium products from hemp. Its mission: to better utilize hemp as an alternative to cotton in the fashion industry to promote a more sustainable future. The brand initially started making T-shirts before shifting its research and development from artisanal materials to the production of socks.

Carefully manufactured in a small factory in Koryo-cho, Nara Prefecture, A Hope Hemp socks are slowly woven on rare and very old looms that can only produce about forty pairs a day. This slow process requires a lot of attention and care but, in return, results in a flexible, soft, and comfortable texture. They incorporate a generous proportion of hemp for increased durability and the innate antimicrobial and deodorizing benefits of this natural fiber. The result is a quality, well-balanced pair of socks that adapts to your use, regardless of the season.
