Founded in 1998 by Stay Gold Company, A Hope Hemp is a Japanese brand that creates premium products from hemp. Its mission is to better utilize hemp as an alternative to cotton in the fashion industry to promote a more sustainable future. The brand initially started by making t-shirts before shifting its research and development of artisanal materials towards producing socks.

Carefully made in a small factory in Koryo-cho, Nara Prefecture, A Hope Hemp socks are slowly woven on rare and very old looms that can only produce about forty pairs per day. It's a slow process that requires a lot of attention and care but in return, provides a soft, gentle, and pleasant texture. They incorporate a generous proportion of hemp for increased durability and the antimicrobial and deodorizing benefits inherent in this natural fiber. The result is a high-quality, well-balanced pair of socks that adapts to your use, regardless of the season.
