Since 1922, Le Minor has been manufacturing clothing inspired by the maritime world in Brittany.
The brand is one of the rare French manufacturers that has spanned the decades without resorting to offshoring. All Le Minor garments are designed and made in their factory in Guidel, in the Morbihan region.
In 2018, the brand was taken over by Jerôme Permingeat and Sylvain Flet, two entrepreneurial friends who are committed to continuing the tradition of quality craftsmanship that has become very rare in France. They have brought a fresh wave of innovation to the collections and have developed more demanding new pieces, both in terms of material sourcing and detail in craftsmanship.
In 2023, the company received the state label of Living Heritage Company, marking several years of effort and recognition of the excellence of their craftsmanship.
"We are survivors. Between 1990 and 2010, 90% of textile companies closed in France. In 2023, more than ever, we are determined to continue the story and techniques of our house. We are small hands, with great know-how. We are a Living Heritage Company."
