A centerpiece of our collaboration with Le Minor, this Noragi perfectly bridges the gap between the Breton maritime wardrobe and traditional Japanese workwear. It not only reflects the connection that both Le Minor and Flâneurs share with Japan, but also symbolizes the authentic work garment of Japan’s rural class. It was especially used in the agricultural field ("nora" = field / "gi" = uniform), thus belonging to the workwear tradition — an area in which Le Minor excels with its robust, utilitarian, and timeless pieces.
For this reinterpretation, we reimagined the modern Noragi using one of Le Minor’s iconic knits: the Milano stitch, already featured on their Blazer and Coach Jacket. It is one of the most refined knitting techniques — highly structured, slow to produce, and giving the piece a beautiful drape. More precisely, the body and sleeves are crafted in Milano knit, while the collar band is made in a more classic 1x1 rib. This rib offers greater flexibility, gently wrapping around the neck like a shawl collar, and its width adds structure to the overall silhouette.
The straight, generously cut fit pairs easily with thicker winter garments, yet works just as well in mid-season over a T-shirt or shirt. For added practicality, two slanted patch pockets have been included and reinforced with sturdy cotton linings to enhance durability and prevent deformation from frequent use. Staying true to the minimalism inherent to the authentic Noragi, we chose a drawstring closure instead of traditional cardigan buttonholes.
Our Le Minor x Flâneurs noragi runs large due to its intentionally oversized cut.
You can choose your usual size, or one size down if you prefer a slightly more fitted look without sacrificing comfort.
Please note that due to the natural elasticity of the knit, these measurements are indicative and may vary slightly from one size or model to another.
