Description

The Lot 3048 is based on a work shirt developed by Big Yank, a brand founded in 1919 in Chicago and known for its workwear as well as for the many functional details it developed from its early years. Warehouse & Co. draws on these references to reproduce a shirt with a simple appearance while paying particular attention to its construction.

The shirt is made from 100% cotton selvedge chambray constructed from 16 × 16 yarns. Its weave and finish give it a relatively dense feel while retaining the characteristic appearance of workwear chambray. The fabric is offered here in an unwashed version and will gradually become softer and develop more character with wear.

The two flap chest pockets appear symmetrical at first glance, but their construction differs. The left pocket features a gusseted construction, a functional detail inspired by vintage Big Yank work shirts. The seams are made with triple-needle stitching, while the reinforcement gussets with selvedge edge and run-off details complete this workwear-inspired construction.

The Sax color reproduces the characteristic light blue of American workwear chambray. Over time, the fabric will gradually develop variations in color and texture resulting from wear and washing.

Fit

The Lot 3048 Big Yank Shirt has a fit inspired by vintage American work shirts, with enough room to be worn on its own or as an additional layer. As the model is offered unwashed, the shrinkage that will occur after the first wash should also be taken into account. The manufacturer's estimates indicate approximately 1 to 2 cm of shrinkage in width and 2 to 4 cm in length. We therefore recommend consulting the size guide carefully before choosing your size.
