Momotaro Jeans Denim Wash is a detergent specially designed for denim. Commissioned from a specialist detergent manufacturer in Fukuoka, Japan, it uses a slightly acidic formula intended for denim care as well as gentle washing of garments made from animal fibres and other delicate materials.
Its formula contains ingredients designed to minimize colour fading and colour transfer. It also effectively removes perspiration, sebum and residues responsible for unpleasant odours, while helping to preserve the original colour of garments. It is also suitable for wool, silk, cotton, linen and synthetic fibres.
Denim Wash contains glycerin, camellia oil (tsubaki) and hinoki essential oil, derived from Japanese cypress. Its formula also contains a softening agent and a dye-transfer inhibitor. It leaves a subtle hinoki fragrance after washing.
Supplied in a 400 ml bottle, this detergent provides approximately 20 washes when using one capful, or 20 ml, per wash.
How to use
- Use 20 ml of detergent, equivalent to one capful, per wash.
- The detergent is suitable for denim as well as wool, silk, cotton, linen and synthetic fibres.
- To prevent colour transfer, wash separately from other garments.
- Slight shrinkage may occur during washing depending on the nature of the fabric.
- Do not use a tumble dryer, as this may cause significant shrinkage.
- Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or artificial light may cause fading. Store garments in a cool, dark place away from direct light.
