Founded in 1998 by Stay Gold Company, A Hope Hemp is a Japanese brand that creates high-quality products from hemp. Its mission is to better utilize hemp as an alternative to cotton in the fashion industry, promoting a more sustainable future. The brand initially started producing t-shirts before shifting its research and artisanal material development to sock production.
Meticulously crafted in a small factory in Koryo-cho, Nara Prefecture, A Hope Hemp socks are slowly woven on rare, very old looms that can only produce around forty pairs per day. This slow process requires great attention and care but results in a soft, supple, and pleasant texture. They include a generous proportion of hemp for increased durability, as well as the natural antimicrobial and deodorizing benefits of the fiber. The result is a high-quality, well-balanced pair of socks that adapts to your use, whatever the season.
