The Hikuri Bandana Gingerbread by One Ear Brand is part of the “Hikuri” artistic series, a collection of bandanas exploring the American desert universe and its iconic symbols such as Saguaro and Peyote cacti. Each motif is conceived as a visual narrative blending Southwestern U.S. culture, vintage imagery, and contemporary Japanese graphic sensibility.
Created in collaboration with artist Yurika Shikai, this bandana features a rich and evocative aesthetic inspired by desert roads, travel memories, and the psychedelic atmosphere of the American Southwest. The “Gingerbread” colorway introduces warm, earthy tones that enhance the organic and sun-soaked identity of the design.
Made in Japan in the Kansai region, the bandana is crafted from high-quality cotton, woven on traditional looms and printed using artisanal techniques. Its generous 90×90 cm format allows versatile use: worn around the neck, as a headscarf, or used as a Furoshiki (a traditional Japanese fabric folding and wrapping technique) for carrying or wrapping objects.
At the intersection of textile object and artistic piece, One Ear Brand offers here a contemporary reinterpretation of the classic bandana, designed as much as a cultural narrative object as a daily accessory.
