The Sphinx Desert Bandana by One Ear Brand is part of the brand’s artistic approach, transforming the bandana into a true narrative medium. This model revisits the codes of traditional rodeo bandanas while reinterpreting them through a contemporary graphic composition designed with a durable printed structure.
The motif depicts a caravan of camels crossing a desert landscape, framed by a border composed of fragmented pyramids. At the center, the figure of the Sphinx appears as an enigma, while the composition is enclosed by an ouroboros, symbolizing the cycle of life and transformation. The design blends historical references, symbolism, and visual storytelling into a dense yet balanced composition.
Made in Japan, this bandana is woven on traditional looms, then printed and assembled by hand in the Kansai region. This artisanal production results in subtle variations between pieces, reinforcing its unique character. The cotton used provides a balanced hand feel, combining structure and softness for everyday wear.
Designed as both a functional and aesthetic object, the bandana can be worn in multiple ways: around the neck, as headwear, or used as a utilitarian textile in the spirit of Furoshiki (a traditional Japanese fabric folding and wrapping technique) for carrying or wrapping objects.
