From its workshop in Peterhead, Harley of Scotland continues to preserve the rare craft of genuine seamless knitting. Each sweater is knitted as a single continuous piece, eliminating side seams and traditional panel construction to achieve a naturally balanced fit, enhanced comfort and outstanding durability.

This sweater is crafted from premium Supersoft Shetland Wool spun by J.C. Rennie at Milladen Mill in Scotland. Carefully selected for its softer handle while preserving the authentic qualities of traditional Shetland wool, the yarn offers an exceptional balance of warmth, breathability and long-lasting resilience.

The signature Shaggy finish is achieved by brushing the completed garment once using a natural teasel (Dipsacus Fullonum), a dried thistle traditionally used in Scottish wool mills. Its flexible hooks gently lift the fibres without damaging them, creating a soft, lightly brushed texture that enhances warmth, loft and depth while maintaining the wool's natural integrity.

Fit & Sizing

Its medium-weight knit and slightly open stitch structure provide an excellent balance between insulation and breathability. The regular fit and classic crew neck make it equally suitable for layering over a T-shirt or shirt, whether worn beneath outerwear or as a standalone piece.
