The Left Hand Twill Selvedge is a classic staple at Naked & Famous Denim. It's a model that has been around since the brand's inception and is carried over each season. It has also been the bestseller for many years across all models.
This jean is made from a 13.75oz Japanese selvedge denim which, despite its medium thickness, feels very stiff. This is due to the weaving technique used during its manufacture. The "Left Hand Twill" is a weave known as "left-handed", done in the opposite direction of a traditional "right-handed" weave ("Right Hand Twill").
This results in a smoother and especially stiffer fabric. Once the jeans are worn, you will notice that the crease marks are much more pronounced than on a classic denim fabric. Over time and with wear, this allows for very contrasting fades, especially if you space out the washings as much as possible. The Left Hand weave also provides a softer feel after washing.
Therefore, it is a mid-season jean, easy to wear all year round, which will develop a more distinct patina than another fabric of the same thickness. It's a model we have been offering for years, especially to customers who want to invest in their first pair of selvedge jeans.
The EasyGuy is a Loose Tapered fit that sits between the WeirdGuy and the SuperGuy. It features a higher rise with a deep crotch, generous thigh room while maintaining a very tapered lower leg.
