The NO COMPLY jeans line from XX DEVELOPMENT is an ode to the know-how of an era where quality was the industry's watchword. The Japanese brand, driven by its two founders Taichi and Kentaro, aims to meticulously study vintage pieces to create the best possible reproduction.

The NO COMPLY Regular is inspired by the cut of the 1966 501s, featuring a snug high waist and a comfortable straight shape with good thigh room followed by a generous leg opening without being too wide, and a well-proportioned ankle.

One of the most interesting aspects of these jeans is the fabric, a standard weight of 13.5oz, perfect for all seasons. This denim, woven on old shuttle looms, features a dark grey weft thread and a deep black warp thread. This effect comes from a process called "overdye", which involves dyeing a finished product to achieve a more uniform look. At first glance uniform, this fabric will reveal a patina and an underlying texture that will become increasingly significant with wear and washes.

Unusually, this model is delivered pre-washed (one wash) but using the "Bucket Dip" technique: each pair of jeans is individually dipped in a bucket of moderately warm water, allowing the fabric to pre-shrink while maintaining the stiffness and crisp appearance of raw denim.

Despite a fixed size, slight shrinkage may occur after the first wash, particularly in the leg length. A reduction of about 2 cm maximum is expected.
