The NO COMPLY jeans line from XX DEVELOPMENT is an ode to the craftsmanship of an era when quality was the hallmark of the industry. The Japanese brand, led by its founders Taichi and Kentaro, aims to meticulously study vintage pieces to create the best possible reproduction.

The NO COMPLY Regular is inspired by the 1966 501s, offering a comfortably enveloping high waist and a comfortable straight fit with good thigh room followed by a generous leg opening without being too wide, and a proportionately sized ankle.

One of the most interesting aspects of these jeans is the fabric, a standard weight of 13.5oz, perfect for all seasons. This denim, also used on the Modified Tapered model, is woven on old shuttle looms and features a contrasting white weft thread alongside a black warp thread. This combination gives the denim a mottled appearance, along with a soft and fluffy texture. The monochrome dimension of this model comes from the use of black tonal stitching, which gives the "MoNo" a uniform overall look, with the only contrasting points being the copper rivets reinforcing the stress points.

Uniquely, this model is delivered pre-washed (one wash) but using the "Bucket Dip" technique: each pair of jeans is individually dipped in a bucket of moderately warm water, allowing the fabric to pre-shrink while maintaining the stiffness and crisp appearance of raw denim.

Despite a fixed size, slight shrinkage may occur during the first wash, especially in the leg length. A reduction of about 2 cm maximum is to be expected.
