New this season, the F153 denim uses the same fabric as the iconic FOB Factory F151 model. Crafted from American Supima cotton, known for its extra-long and stable fibers, this denim is woven at the famous Nihon Menpu factory in Ibara, on a vintage RIKI-SHOKKI shuttle loom. Supima cotton is 40% stronger than regular cotton and easily absorbs indigo. The rope dyeing process, repeated 8 times, gives the denim a deep and relatively uniform color, which will fade slowly but surely. It is made with #6 warp and weft yarns, for a weight of 14.75 oz, ideal for year-round wear.
The construction details are also carefully executed, featuring a vegetable-tanned deer leather patch, a button fly with steel buttons, copper rivets at stress points, and chain stitch seams done on the famous Union Special 43200G.
It features a Tapered fit with a high waist, offering a comfortable opening at the thighs, with a slight taper from the knee to the hem.
