The French Moleskin Jacket from FOB Factory is based on the iconic work jacket (or Chore Coat) that first appeared in France at the end of the 19th century. Originally designed to be loose and comfortable for railroad workers or farmers, this version has been redefined to fit closer to a suit jacket. It features a more tailored fit, with shorter sleeves and a reduced torso length for a more "formal" look than traditional "workwear" jackets.

It is crafted from thick, 100% cotton moleskin, woven at a high density. This process gives it a suede-like appearance, with a smooth, uniform, and slightly fluffy texture. This type of moleskin is aptly referred to as "German Leather." It is a sturdy fabric that easily conforms to the body and will develop a beautiful patina over time.
