SEUVAS is a young Japanese label based in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture. Inspired by workwear and military styles, the brand offers clothing made from exceptional canvas by Takeyari, a local manufacturer that has been producing this material for 130 years. Seuvas makes jackets, shirts, and pants from natural canvas in its permanent collection, and each season, it launches a new capsule featuring organic dyes like matcha tea, coffee, or charcoal.

The Japanese label naturally opts for a 10oz canvas made in Kojima, Japan. A true hallmark of the brand since its inception, the canvas is known for its durability and strength over time. One of the distinctive features of the canvas used by Seuvas is its surface sprinkled with fine particles of cotton husks that add a unique character to this jacket.

Here, the brand presents its interpretation of the famous Coverall Jacket. While retaining the traditional work jacket elements (shawl collar, four patch pockets including two on the chest, straight cut, button collar placket, etc.), it offers its own version. The button placket features finely engraved buttons with the brand name, which are also found on the cuffs, allowing for adjustable sleeve openings. To make the canvas more comfortable from the first wear and to prevent any shrinkage, the jacket has received an initial wash by the brand.

The fit is relatively loose and oversized and can easily be worn with a simple t-shirt or layered.
