Seuvas is a young Japanese label based in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture. Inspired by workwear and military apparel, the brand offers clothing made from the exceptional canvas of Takeyari, a local manufacturer that has been producing this material for 130 years. Seuvas features jackets, shirts, and trousers made from natural canvas in its permanent collection, cutting and sewing all the garments in their own workshop in Kurashiki using vintage sewing machines.

This season, Seuvas unveils its own interpretation of a classic workwear wardrobe staple: the Trucker denim jacket. The denim, unusually fine and lightweight, is delicately woven and washed to enhance the folds and irregularities of this jacket. A notable feature: the bust is woven on the left while the top of the jacket and the sleeves are woven on the right, a construction that gives the piece a unique balance between flexibility and structure.

Its slightly shortened boxy cut echoes the Type I denim jackets of the 1930s, but with a contemporary twist. Authentic details such as a back martingale, contrast stitching, and oxidized metal buttons adorned with a laurel leaf nod to vintage pieces. Two side patch pockets complete this robust and timeless silhouette.
