The 0906-V from Momotaro is the streamlined version from the "SP" range, which usually features the Battle Stripes — two white screen-printed stripes on the right rear pocket, a signature of the brand. It is an excellent alternative to the 0605-V model because it offers more room in the thighs and at the ankle opening, while maintaining a clean straight fit.

It is crafted from their exclusive fabric, weighing 15.7 oz, made entirely from Zimbabwean cotton. The unique feature of Zimbabwean cotton is that it is still handpicked today, which helps retain all the natural qualities and irregularities of the cotton. This is certainly the most iconic fabric offered by Momotaro, known for its dry, rigid touch, and slightly fuzzy surface. The warp thread (outer) has undergone multiple indigo dyeing processes, achieving a very deep overall shade. The weft thread (inner) is left in its natural white shade, providing a bright nuance against the dark exterior. With repeated wear and washes, this fabric will develop a unique, ribbed and textured patina with a typical vintage jeans appearance. The finishing touches are also notable. Most of the seams are sewn using vintage Union Special machines, like the 43200G for chain stitching. Once again, we also find pink stitching, a signature of Momotaro, on the inseam, as well as copper rivets and a vegetable-tanned leather patch.

The Wide Straight fit from Momotaro is the widest in the collection.
