For the new Spring/Summer 2024 season, Beams Plus offers us a short-sleeved shirt inspired by designs from the 1950s. It features an open collar (also known as a Cuban collar) and a loose and short (boxy) cut. This shirt is made from Indian fabric printed using the Block Print method. This is a traditional technique where patterns are hand-carved onto wooden stamps, dipped in natural dyes, and then printed onto the fabric. Each stamp creates a unique pattern, making each shirt different. This process requires time, patience, and precision to carefully overlay the prints. For this shirt, the Japanese brand has chosen a Square pattern, rich in colors and shapes. Here, on a beige background, the predominant shades lean towards red and burgundy. Lastly, like the vast majority of Beams Plus pieces, it is made in Japan.
