For this new Spring/Summer 2024 season, Beams Plus presents a short sleeve shirt inspired by 1950s designs. It features an open collar (also known as a Cuban collar), as well as a boxy and short fit. This shirt is made from an Indian fabric printed using the Block Print technique. This is an artisanal method where patterns are hand-carved on wooden stamps, then dipped into natural dyes before being printed on the fabric. Each stamp creates a unique pattern, making each shirt different. This process requires time, patience, and precision to carefully overlay the prints. The pattern on this Beams Plus shirt features beautiful geometric shapes and presents subtle shades of olive and yellow. Finally, as with the majority of Beams Plus pieces, it is made in Japan.
