For this new Spring/Summer 2024 season, Beams Plus offers us a short-sleeved shirt inspired by models from the 1950s. It features an open collar (also known as a Cuban collar), as well as a boxy and short fit. This shirt is made from an Indian fabric printed using the Block Print technique. It is a traditional method where patterns are hand-carved on wooden blocks, dipped in natural dyes, and then printed on the fabric. Each block creates a unique pattern, making each shirt different. This process requires time, patience, and precision to carefully overlay the prints. The pattern on this Beams Plus shirt features lovely geometric shapes and presents subtle shades of blue and red on a beige background. Finally, like the majority of Beams Plus pieces, it is made in Japan.
