ONI is a mysterious label backed by a true enthusiast who has dedicated 60 years of his life to denim. Always in search of perfection, Oishi-san is perpetually experimenting and focuses solely on production. This is why you will find neither a website nor an official Instagram page for the brand. It is also why the label is distributed only in a few stores worldwide and exclusively at Flâneurs for France.

Despite his devotion to producing thick and rigid denim, Oishi-San values comfort and stretch in his daily-worn jeans. It is from this personal habit and after 20 years of research that the "High Power Stretch Denim" was born, the most comfortable fabric ever offered by the Demon brand. Designed to be as comfortable as sweatpants while offering an aesthetic suitable for all occasions, formal or casual, this jean is highly versatile. With a 7% addition of polyurethane, these jeans set a new standard in comfort without sacrificing durability. Moreover, the waistband is specially designed to return to its shape after use, thus preventing excessive stretching.

Although the addition of polyurethane is unusual in the ONI catalog, the manufacturing is not done on modern machines but on the same old shuttle looms that made the brand's selvedge jeans famous. Indeed, to produce this type of fabric, shuttle looms are set to a very low tension level. This particular setting, called "low tension", literally makes the machines shake during the denim's production. By coupling this weaving technique with the use of cotton yarn of naturally irregular thickness, the result is a denim that is more textured than the often very smooth stretch fabrics. However, due to the difficulty in mastering this technique, few manufacturers venture into it, but ONI has distinguished itself with a unique fabric whose quality is beyond doubt.

The 526S is a Semi Tight Straight cut that sits between a straight and a slim fit, with a medium rise that snugly fits, followed by a leg that tapers slightly, finishing with a straight fit from the knee down. Due to the stretchable nature of the fabric, this cut is more fitted than 100% cotton versions.

This model is delivered sanforized and pre-washed, allowing the waist to be fully set while bringing out the unique texture of the fabric.
