The 222 "Super Wide Straight" from Oni is the brand's new ambitious cut, succeeding the 200 "Wide Straight". It features a very high waist and a generous back rise followed by a wide straight leg from thigh to ankle. It is unusual to see such a shape from Oni, but the craftsmanship of its creator makes it a real success for those looking to try a very pushed vintage wide look.
The uniqueness of this cut and its generous length invite the wearer to make it their own in a very personal way, considering wearing it with numerous cuffs or altering it for a shorter drop, as shown in the pictures.
Another highlight of this model is its fabric. Made from a selection of the best American cottons, it has a textured, relatively flexible appearance, and a typical irregularity of the Japanese manufacturer, resulting from the use of "slub" cotton yarns and low tension weaving, a technique only Mr. Oishi masters. The very deep indigo dye on the exterior coupled with a traditional white weft allows this denim to develop a nuanced and textured patina, worthy of the historical models that have marked the history of jeans.
