Oni is a mysterious label behind which hides a true enthusiast who has devoted 60 years of his life to denim. Always in search of perfection, Oishi-san continuously innovates and focuses solely on production. This is why you won't find a website or an official Instagram page for the brand. It is also why the label is only distributed in a few stores around the world and exclusively at Flâneurs in France.

Designed from a selection of the finest American cottons, the fabric has a textured appearance, relatively flexible, and a typical irregularity of the Japanese manufacturer, stemming from the use of "slub" cotton yarns and low tension weaving that only Mr. Oishi masters. The deep indigo dye on the outside, combined with a traditional white reverse, allows this denim to develop a nuanced and textured patina.

Staying true to iconic details, a pink selvedge ID contrasts with the deep indigo. There are also meticulous finishes such as hidden copper rivets reinforcing the back pockets as well as the pocket bags, and a deer leather patch on the back of the jeans.

As with classic Type II jackets, there are two buttoned chest pockets, a five-button closure, the famous pleated accents, and contrasting topstitching.
