Oni is a mysterious label behind which hides a true enthusiast who has devoted 60 years of his life to denim. Always in pursuit of perfection, Oishi-san continuously seeks improvement and dedicates himself solely to production. This is why you won't find a website or an official Instagram page for the brand. It is also for this reason that the label is only distributed in a few boutiques around the world and exclusively at Flâneurs for France.
Crafted from a selection of the finest American cottons, the fabric features a textured, relatively flexible appearance, and a typical irregularity of the Japanese manufacturer, coming from the use of "slub" cotton yarns and a low tension weaving that only Mr. Oishi masters. The deep indigo dye on the exterior, combined with a traditional white weft, allows this denim to develop a nuanced and textured patina.
Always faithful to iconic details, a pink selvedge ID contrasts with the depth of the indigo. You will also find refined finishes such as hidden copper rivets that strengthen the back pockets and the pocket bags, as well as a deer leather patch at the back of the jeans.
The 200 is a "Wide Straight" cut that offers a high waist with a straight/wide leg, extending from the thigh to the ankle.
