Oni is a mysterious label behind which hides a true enthusiast who has dedicated 60 years of his life to denim. Always in pursuit of perfection, Oishi-san is constantly researching and dedicates himself solely to production. This is why you will not find a website or an official Instagram page for the brand. It is also for this reason that the label is distributed only in a few stores around the world and only at Flâneurs for France.

Made in a weight of 15oz, the "Ishikawadai" is crafted using cotton spun on an Ishikawadai Japanese machine, the oldest of its kind, dating back to 1953. Unlike modern machines, the Ishikawadai spins cotton at a much slower speed, about 30% slower, which results in less stressed cotton fibers and gives the fabric a natural appearance. The outcome is similar to hand spinning, with subtle variations in thickness and a grainy texture.

Another distinctive feature of this model is that it is woven using the same cottons as the famous Secret Denim, an iconic model from Oni. Its unique color is achieved by combining a warp thread dyed in so-called Greencast indigo, with greenish/blueish tints, and a weft thread dyed in beige.

The 246 corresponds to the Neat Straight cut, a classic fitted straight cut with a comfortable high waist, good rear articulation, and thigh room that extends down the leg for an overall straight drape.

This model is one of the rare washed jeans at Oni, the 18 Used treatment enhances the greencast indigo dye of the fabric, giving it a unique blue/green hue.
