The French Moleskin Jacket from FOB Factory is based on the iconic work jacket (or Chore Coat) that appeared at the end of the 19th century in France. The originally loose and comfortable cut, intended for railway workers or farmers, has been revised to be closer to the measurements of a suit jacket. It features a more fitted fall, with shorter sleeves and a shorter torso, for a more "formal" look than a traditional "workwear" jacket.

It is crafted from a thick, 100% cotton moleskin, woven at high density. This process gives it a texture similar to suede leather, with a smooth, uniform, and fluffy appearance. This type of moleskin is rightly called "German Leather." It is a sturdy fabric that easily adapts to the body shape and will develop a beautiful patina over time.
