ONI is a mysterious label behind which hides a true enthusiast who has devoted 60 years of his life to denim. Always in pursuit of perfection, Oishi-san is perpetually seeking and is solely dedicated to production. This is why you will not find a website or an official Instagram page for the brand. This is also why the label is only distributed in a few stores around the world and exclusively at Flâneurs for France.

The Coverall Jacket from ONI is based on the iconic chore coat that appeared at the end of the 19th century in France. Originally designed to be loose and comfortable for railroad workers or farmers, this version has been modified to fit more like a suit jacket. It has a more fitted cut, with shorter sleeves and a shortened torso for a more "formal" look than a traditional "workwear" jacket.

From the original model, the two large side pockets and the chest pockets, one outside on the left and one inside on the right, as well as the straight fit and classic collar, have been preserved. The added value of this model comes from the fabric, a robust cotton twill woven in a 3x3 pattern, meaning three weft threads for every three warp threads. This weave provides significant density and some stiffness, and has been given an ecological treatment called "Bio Wash." This unique anti-felting treatment, originally intended for wool, adds suppleness and gives the fabric a soft, silky feel, as well as an emerging patina that only enhances with wear. It also helps to set the size, preventing any potential shrinkage during washing.
