For this new Spring/Summer 2024 season, Beams Plus introduces a short-sleeve shirt inspired by 1950s designs. It features an open collar (also called a Cuban collar) and a loose and short (boxy) fit. This shirt is made from an Indian fabric printed using Block Print, a traditional handcrafted method where patterns are hand-carved onto wooden blocks, dipped in natural dyes, and then stamped onto the fabric. Each block creates a unique pattern, making each shirt different. This process requires time, patience, and precision to carefully overlay the prints. The pattern on this Beams Plus shirt features lovely geometric shapes and presents shades of blue and yellow on a beige background. Lastly, like the majority of Beams Plus pieces, this one is made in Japan.
