What is Block Print?

The fabric used for this model is a uniform base with resistant dye, onto which patterns have been pressed using the Block Print technique. This artisanal technique involves hand-carving patterns on wooden blocks that are then dipped in natural dyes before being stamped on the fabric. Each block creates a unique pattern and a variable result from one shirt to another. It is a lengthy process that often requires multiple blocks for a single pattern, thus demanding patience and precision in the overlay of prints.
