The B.D. Classic Fit Wool Stripe shirt from Beams Plus is a refined piece inspired by traditional American models from the 1960s, while benefiting from Japanese craftsmanship. It is crafted from so-called Super 120's merino wool, a very high-end type of wool known for its fineness, softness, and luxurious appearance. This level of fineness (about 17.5 microns) allows for 120 kilometers of yarn from one kilogram of merino wool. Moreover, merino wool is known for its breathable and naturally thermoregulating fibers. For easier care, the fabric has been treated to be machine washable.

For the fit, Beams Plus also opts for comfort by drawing inspiration from vintage models, with a relatively loose bust, generous armholes, and a longer length than classic Button Downs. However, it retains key details such as the unique chest pocket, gusset reinforcement adorned with the "+" logo embroidered in contrasting orange thread, buttoned collar tabs, a back box pleat topped with the traditional cord, and mother-of-pearl buttons engraved with the brand name.
