Since 1989, Yuketen, a brand created and led by Yuki Matsuda, has specialized in the manufacture of leather shoes with a unique style and undeniable quality. It is this distinctive identity that has made the brand renowned worldwide.

The Blucher is one of their most iconic models. Assembled in accordance with the manufacturing standards of moccasins and boat shoes from the 1950s, using the same foot shapes, it is a true reinterpretation with a more assertive look. This version is designed in suede leather, vegetable-tanned, sourced from the Italian tannery Opera Leather, specialized in reversed leathers since the 1970s. The leather is worked on multiple levels, with perforated insets inspired by "Brogues" around the opening and a fringed tongue called "Kiltie", accompanying the leather laces, which can be removed if needed.

The insole as well as the different parts making up the final assembly are in vegetable-tanned leather, coming directly from the historic American tannery Horween. For better support and durability, a steel plate is attached to the insole, before being placed on a memory foam comfort cushion, making the shoe very comfortable in all circumstances.

The shoe is mounted on an EVA rubber sole, specially designed for Yuketen by Vibram, called "Rocker". This outsole is connected to the shoe by Goodyear stitching, allowing it to be easily replaced once worn out.

Yuketen models are handcrafted using thick cotton threads, coated with beeswax for greater durability. Each pair comes with its Dust Bag, unique to each model.

Yuketen runs slightly large, we recommend going half a size down from your usual size. The brand regularly advises referring to the size of a pair of New Balance Made In USA.

It's important to keep in mind that handmade manufacturing may result in some size variations from one model to another. As leather naturally molds to the shape of the foot, a good fit should be felt during fitting.
