Since 1950, NISHIGUCHI KUTSUSHITA has been producing warm, comfortable, and cozy socks in Japan. Katsuji Nishiguchi founded the company Knitwin Co. in Nara Prefecture with a single manual knitting machine. Over the generations, the company has continued to grow and is now led by Isato Nishiguchi, the third generation.
NISHIGUCHI KUTSUSHITA also offers a selection of gloves crafted with the same care and expertise as their sock collections. The Merino Wool Gloves are a perfect example. Designed to effectively withstand chilly winter days, the knit is made from exceptionally fine merino wool fibers averaging 16 microns in diameter — comparable to cashmere. This soft and luxurious wool is sourced from sheep raised around Mount Cook in New Zealand. The natural elasticity of the knit provides excellent comfort while maintaining dexterity and freedom of movement.
