The French Moleskin Jacket from FOB Factory is based on the iconic work jacket or Chore Coat, which appeared in the late 19th century in France. The original loose and comfortable fit, intended for railway workers or farmers, has been revised to more closely resemble the measurements of a suit jacket. The fit is more tailored, with shorter sleeves and a shorter torso, for a more "formal" look than a traditional "workwear" jacket.

It is made from thick moleskin, 100% cotton, woven at high density. This process gives it an appearance similar to suede leather, with a smooth, uniform, and fluffy texture. This type of moleskin is rightly called "German Leather". It is a robust fabric that easily adapts to the body shape and will develop a beautiful patina over time.
