The F153 5P is crafted from American Supima cotton, renowned for its extra-long and stable fibers. This denim is woven at the iconic Nihon Menpu mill in Ibara, using a vintage RIKI-SHOKKI shuttle loom. Supima cotton is 40% stronger than regular cotton and absorbs indigo exceptionally well. Rope-dyed eight times, the fabric achieves a deep, even indigo tone that will fade beautifully and gradually over time. The warp and weft use #6 yarns, resulting in a versatile 14.75 oz fabric suitable for year-round wear.
It features a refined straight fit, offering a high-rise waist that sits comfortably, generous room through the thighs, and a gently tapered leg from the knee down.
Construction details are meticulously executed, including a vegetable-tanned deerskin patch, a button fly with steel buttons, copper rivets at stress points, and chain-stitched hems sewn on the legendary Union Special 43200G.
This model runs small, so we recommend choosing one to two sizes larger than your usual size.
