The F153 5P is crafted from American Supima cotton, renowned for its extra-long, stable fibers. This denim is woven at the famous Nihon Menpu mill in Ibara, using a vintage RIKI-SHOKKI shuttle loom. Supima cotton is 40% stronger than regular cotton and readily absorbs dye pigments. For this black version, the sulfur-dyeing process, repeated 8 times, gives the denim a deep, even color that will fade slowly with wear and washing. The fabric is made with #6 warp and weft yarns, weighing 14.75 oz, making it suitable for year-round wear.
It features a refined straight fit, with a high-rise waist that sits snugly, comfortable thigh room, and a tapered leg from the knee to the hem.
Construction details are meticulously executed, including a vegetable-tanned deerskin patch, button fly with steel buttons, copper rivets at stress points, and chain-stitched seams made on the renowned Union Special 43200G.
This model runs small, so we recommend choosing two sizes above your usual size.
