Oni is a mysterious label, driven by a true enthusiast who has dedicated 60 years of his life to denim. Always striving for perfection, Oishi-san is in a constant search, dedicating himself exclusively to production. That's why you won't find a website or an official Instagram page for this brand. It is also the reason why the label is only distributed in a few boutiques around the world, and exclusively at Flâneurs in France.

Drawing inspiration from vintage jeans and fabrics dyed with natural indigo, Oni Denim, with the 570-OFBD model, aims to offer a very different kind of 13.7 oz denim than what is usually found. Crafted from a selection of the finest American cottons, the fabric has a distinctive texture, relatively soft, with irregularities typical of the Japanese manufacturer, resulting from a low tension weaving process that only Mr. Oishi knows the secret to. The "Old Blue" shade is a unique creation and the result of numerous trials. To achieve this shade, the warp threads are dyed with indigo, but with far fewer pigments than for a classic raw denim. Adding a secret touch of sulfur gives birth to the "Old Blue," a distinctive blue that recalls the color of mountain lake waters in some glacial landscapes.

Always true to its iconic details, a red selvedge ID contrasts with the "Old Blue" shade. The jeans also feature meticulous finishes, such as the hidden copper rivets reinforcing the back pockets, as well as pocket bags and a deer leather patch at the back of the jeans.

A new cut at Oni, the 570 silhouette adopts a Classic Straight cut, a slight revision by the Japanese label. It offers good comfort at the thighs with a slight taper from the knee to the bottom of the jeans.
