Despite being relatively new, founded in 2013, Batoner is the signature brand of the knitwear company Okuyama Meriyasu, established in the 1950s. Batoner, which means "one who inherits", proudly represents the nearly century-old craftsmanship of the Japanese prefecture of Yamagata, which has been home to some of the best knitting factories in Japan for many years. With only about fifteen still active today, each strives to preserve the techniques and traditions that have made this region famous.

In this context, Batoner offers a wide range of sweaters, vests, and cardigans made from their Signature knit. This knit is produced by the family-owned mill Sato Seni also located in Yamagata. It is made from a merino wool yarn and offers substantial weight while maintaining flexibility and breathability thanks to a lace stitch. The spinning technique used preserves the authenticity of the wool and gives the final knit a unique ribbed appearance.

For this Turtle Neck, the design is simple and minimalist to maintain the timeless aura cherished by the manufacturer. The assembly of the raglan sleeves supports a versatile straight fall that will easily match a wide range of outfits and combinations. The turtle neck can be worn enveloping or rolled. With its substantial weight, this sweater allows great creation and retention of heat to effectively face the winter. It is presented here in an "ivory" shade, a subdued and bright off-white that will bring contrast and light to your outfits.
