After the success of our first collaboration for the Spring/Summer 2022 season, we are pleased to renew our partnership with one of the last Indian manufacturers who focuses on the history and authenticity of manufacturing techniques: Kardo. Like last year, we have selected a large number of their finest fabrics and kept the short-sleeved shirt pattern we had created for our first collaboration.

Tailored with a straight cut and comfortable, this shirt features a slightly elongated length to more easily fit all body types and to be worn easily tucked in or over pants. It has a slightly longer drop than the Japanese cuts we usually offer. The open collar adds a touch of authenticity, while the chest pocket draws inspiration from a more workwear universe.

The seersucker fabric used, light and breathable, is dyed using the traditional Japanese technique of Shibori. This technique, literally translated as "tightening by twisting," appeared in the 13th century and involves twisting and tightening the fabric with ties, or elastic bands, before dipping it into vats of natural dye. Once the ties are removed, numerous unique geometric patterns are revealed, along with multiple depths of dye. The dyes used by...Kardo are completely natural, from indigo to Harda extract, a tree native to Southeast Asia.

The name of each artisan who participated in the making of the shirt is written on the label, highlighting the human scale of this unique manufacturer.

This model is true to size, you can go with your usual size. Due to the artisanal design and handmade production of the shirts Kardo, the measurements may vary slightly from one model to another, without altering the overall fit.
