The Smock Overshirt from Universal Works is back for this new SS25 season. This minimalist overshirt is inspired by the authentic artist's smock, a pullover model with two large patched pockets originally designed to keep necessary tools within reach. Its simple 1-button collar, a mix of a polo collar and a shirt collar, also recalls the smock used in the maritime field.

Its straight and loose cut ensures great comfort, allowing for ease of movement even when worn over another garment. The straight and clear hem stands out with a length difference between the front and back to break the square appearance of the cut and add more dynamism.

It is made from one of the brand's flagship fabrics: the Indigo Herringbone Denim. This 100% cotton fabric, woven in a herringbone pattern, is dyed with indigo, allowing it to develop a beautiful patina over time and highlighting the Herringbone weave. This washed version presents a lighter and brighter hue than its raw version, simulating a model that has been worn and washed numerous times.
