This hoodie reflects Pure Blue Japan's expertise in crafting high-quality fabrics and timeless design. It is made from a unique fabric obtained by knitting a slub cotton yarn, which is irregular in thickness and previously dyed with indigo in the same way as yarns used in denim making. Due to the type of yarn used, the fleece has a pronounced and uneven texture, heralding a relief-like patina. Additionally, the fabric is woven slowly, without tension, making it very soft and comfortable to wear.

The deep indigo hue is achieved by combining classic indigo dyeing with a green sulfur dye, a blend called "greencast." This unique combination of dyes allows the indigo to gradually fade to a lighter blue shade with a hint of green, giving the fabric a distinctive aged look over time.

In terms of fit, PBJ opts for versatility with a straight, slim fit, generous torso length, and refined finishes such as horn buttons that allow the collar to be raised, vintage-inspired cuffs that are flexible yet resistant to deformation, underarm panels, and the traditional indigo leaf embroidered on the left seam.
