In this piece, the Japanese label Warehouse & Co reinterprets the famous mariner's shirt in its own way. While retaining the vintage details of the original, the brand uses heavy cotton jersey here. The fabric is thick yet has a relatively soft and supple hand. The 3/4 sleeves give it a more contemporary feel. Its neckline is not too low and is similar to that of a T-shirt. However, it still features the traditional mariner’s peak toward the shoulder. Slightly longer than other T-shirts in the Warehouse collection, the 4051 can easily be worn tucked in or out of pants. The thick stripes (about 5 cm), as well as the mix of heather grey and bordeaux, are particularly appealing. The cut and choice of colors provide an original piece with a pattern less contrasting than a classic mariner's shirt.
