Dubble Works was founded over 10 years ago by the Japanese label Warehouse & Co. and is now under the direction of Sankei Meriyasu. Historically, it is a knitwear company founded in 1926, known for manufacturing very high-quality sweatshirts and t-shirts. Indeed, to make their cotton jerseys, they mainly use old circular weaving machines from the 1920s called "loopwheelers".

To create this piece, Dubbleworks opted for another old, circular industrial machine called a "Standwheeler", originally designed and created in Wakayama, Japan. Rare and difficult to operate, only a handful of artisans are capable of running it. The cotton jersey produced by the Standwheelers is very different from the classic loopwheel t-shirts. Indeed, these machines allow spinning a much thicker yarn than the norm. This results in a fabric that is both thick and sturdy, yet still breathable. Moreover, the Japanese label incorporates shorter fibers from fiber waste during the combing process into the weave. This addition creates texture and irregularity. It uses Raffy yarn, historically the first made from recycled cotton.

This piece features a tubular construction, with no side seams. The straight fit is paired with a relatively wide, heavily ribbed, double-stitched collar. Another detail found in vintage baseball t-shirts, the 3/4 sleeves are accompanied by a raw-cut rounded hem, reinforced with a simple seam to prevent fraying. The Off-White color allows for easy pairing with all types of outfits.
