Sand casting is a technique discovered in the early days of metallurgy during the Bronze Age, over 3,000 years before our era. This casting process involves pouring a metal (in this case, 925 silver) into a single-use sand mold.
To begin, a prototype of the jewelry piece is crafted, which serves as a model to be reproduced. Pressed into previously compacted sand, this matrix is then removed, leaving an imprint into which the molten metal is poured.
The metal is heated until it becomes liquid (964 °C for silver):

Once the metal has solidified and cooled, the piece can be retrieved:
The jewelry piece is then refined using traditional techniques to ensure comfort. Each item is patinated to enhance the natural contrasts and textures, and finally stamped with the maker’s hallmark, certifying both the quality of the metal and the artisan’s craftsmanship.
