The High Noon Selvedge is a lightweight 10oz Japanese denim, expertly woven on vintage shuttle looms in Okayama, Japan. Inspired by the rugged durability of 1900s jeans, it captures the essence of that era. Like the denim from back then, the fabric is not sanforized in order to preserve its authenticity. However, each pair of jeans has been pre-washed to soften the fabric and remove any potential shrinkage. One characteristic of unsanforized denim is the unique leg twist, commonly referred to as "leg twist". This detail adds a distinctive character to each pair of jeans, highlighting methods from a time before the development of modern techniques to eliminate such twists.
The denim sports a medium indigo shade enhanced with a discreet orange selvedge ID. This lighter shade of indigo facilitates a quicker yet lighter patina, typical of the vintage style known to jeans. Designed for immediate comfort, the High Noon Selvedge is light and soft, requiring no break-in period. Proudly made in Canada, this jean features contrast stitching, a button fly, a dark brown leather patch, and silver metallic buttons and rivets.
The TrueGuy features a high waist, paired with a straight leg from thigh to hem. It harks back to vintage cuts that have marked the history of jeans, making it timeless, versatile, and suitable for a wide range of body types.
