The new Double Face Mid Socks from ROTOTO are the perfect socks to wear all year round, no matter the season. The undyed organic cotton used in their making has been brushed for added softness, and comfort is enhanced by an elasticated band around the arch and ankle, ensuring better support.
It is strongly recommended to avoid the tumble dryer which could cause shrinkage.
ROTOTO socks are made in the largest sock-producing region of Japan, Nara Prefecture. The region has been known for its quality textiles since the 17th century. Industrial production of socks was first introduced in 1910 when a man from the former village of Umami (now Koryocho) imported a weaving machine from the United States to his hometown after studying abroad in the country.
ROTOTO places great value on collaboration in its product research: "We start by selecting the right yarns with craftsmen to develop the design of a new material. After that, we choose the knitting machines depending on the type of material and the use of the product. It could be rare machines that have a specific use, old non-computerized knitting machines, or on the contrary, modern high-tech tools."
The ROTOTO socks can only be made by combining the right materials, the right machine, and the artisan's know-how.
"Preserving the tradition inherited from previous generations, while painting the future with a fresh perspective. We will continue to try to produce things that can only be created here."
